This database contains annual workplace program reports
submitted to EOWA since 2002. A
selected number of 2001 reports are also available on this
database (226 reports, approx 10%,
were selected as a test in 2001).
The reports
have been sorted so that organisations judged by EOWA to have an
initiative that was considered to be innovative for their particular
industry, or effective in terms of the results they experienced are
listed first. Please note: Any organisation that has either been waived from reporting
or named as non-compliant with the EOWW Act will not have a report
available to download.
The reports contain valuable examples of
equal opportunity initiatives and the types of issues facing
particular industries, providing other organisations with useful assistance
in developing their own workplace program.
It should be noted that information in
the report is often supplemented by extensive conversations between
the organisation and EOWA. An organisation's history is also
considered when assessing compliance. Reports are not a
comprehensive picture of all of the equal opportunity issues or actions
that a workplace has undertaken in the past, but merely a snapshot
taken during the reporting year.
You can search for a report by organisation, industry, state,
the number of employees in the organisation and the type of
Employment Matter the employer has chosen to action.
The legislation states that reports are public documents,
although organisations are able to submit an evaluation of their
workplace program as confidential information under the Equal
Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999. All
confidential information has been removed from the report prior to publication.
Likewise, personal information within the organisation details
submitted to EOWA has been removed from these published reports in
accordance with the Privacy Act, 1988.
If you cannot download a report please contact EOWA to
establish the reason. If you know of an organisation that should be
reporting to EOWA that is not included on this database, please
contact
EOWA as we will ensure that we register them.
