Home : Reporting and Compliance : What Happens if My Report Does Not Comply

If your report does not comply, EOWA will contact you to seek additional information and work with you to assist you complying with the Act.

If, however, you are unable or unwilling to provide the information needed, the sanctions under the Act will apply.

There are two sanctions associated with failure to comply with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999:

  • Naming of your organisation in Parliament; and
  • Contract compliance policy - which renders organisations ineligible to tender for government contracts and industry assistance.

For further information, see Sanctions.
