Research released: Pay, Power and Position

A report titled Pay, Power and Position: Beyond the 2008 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership was released in June by the Hon. Tanya Plibersek, Minister for the Status of Women.

The report further explores the valuable data collected for the 2008 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership and focuses on the status of women at Board Director and Executive Manager level in the ASX200.

The report can be accessed from the publications section of the EOWA website.

Equal Pay Day fast approaching

In Australia, Equal Pay Day will take place on 1 September 2009. This date was chosen because it illustrates the number of extra days many women have to work in the year to earn the same as their male counterparts. This is based on the fact that women on average earn 17.2 percent less than men in full-time weekly earnings.

Retail Industry Vertical

The 2009 EOWA Retail Industry Vertical is now available.
This publication provides comprehensive equal employment analysis of the retail industry sector based on data collected by EOWA in the 2007-2008 reporting period. The report can be accessed from the
publications section of the EOWA website.
