Annual Compliance Reports are now due. Reports or Applications for Waiver may be submitted any time between now and May 31. Please send reports electronically to reportforms@eowa.gov.au.

EOWA has many resources to help you complete your report including sample reports and case studies.

Just Launched: Women's Empowerment Principles



 

UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women has launched the Women's Empowerment Principles - global indicators that provide practical guidance to business on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community.

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day in March 2011, UNIFEM Australia invites 100 companies to sign on to the Principles.  For more information email the Executive Director of UNIFEM Australia or call 02 6285 8254.

Review Update



 

The summary report of the Australian Government's Review of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act and Agency is now available on line. Click here to access the full report. 

The Government’s response to the Review is pending and is expected to be handed down later this year. The reporting process for 2010 is going ahead as normal.

 

2009 Survey Information Now Available



 

The 2009 EOWA Survey on Paid Maternity Leave, Sex-based Harassment Initiatives and the Gender Pay Gap is now available online. The report examines responses covering over 7000 organisations and reveals what they are currently doing, and what more can be done to further improve workplace practices to attract and retain the best talent.
