Title: Appointment of New Sex Discrimination Commissioner

The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency today welcomed the appointment of a new Sex Discrimination Commissioner. The Director of EOWA, Fiona Krautil, said that EOWA looked forward to working closely with the new appointee, Pru Goward.

"I am confident that Pru Goward will be able to continue the excellent work done by the former commissioner," Ms Krautil said.

"EOWA has worked very closely with the former Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Susan Halliday, on numerous issues, including the recently released pregnancy guidelines on pregnancy discrimination at work.

"EOWA looks forward to building upon the productive relationship developed with Ms Goward in her previous roles.

"We are very pleased that the new appointment has been actioned quickly," Ms Krautil said.
