It was announced today that the new Director for the federal Affirmative Action Agency had been appointed. Fiona Krautil, previously Senior Manager, Workforce Diversity at the Westpac Banking Corporation, said that she was honoured and delighted to have been appointed as the new Director.
"My experience in both the public and private sector in implementing EEO/AA/Diversity programs over the past ten years will enable me to add value to the excellent work the Agency already does," Ms Krautil said.
"I look forward to building closer links with industry to achieve competitive advantages by assisting businesses to fully utilise the talents of all their people.
"I also look forward to implementing the recommendations of the Affirmative Action Act Review which acknowledges contemporary business realities.
"I see these as positive and constructive changes," Ms Krautil said.
