Performance Management Programs provide opportunities for all staff to:
  • Discuss performance and any issues of concern regularly with their managers;
  • Agree on development activities;
  • Set objectives for future performance;
  • Review performance against agreed objectives;
  • Seek feedback on work performance.

Information from this process can assist in:

  • Identifying high performers and staff with potential
  • Succession Planning
  • Planning the organisation's training program and training budget.

By reviewing and collating information from the Performance Management Program documentation, issues of concern relating to the seven employment matters can be determined and prioritised for action in your workplace program.

Performance Objectives for Supervisors, Team Leaders and Managers should measure their achievement in promoting equal employment opportunity and removing barriers to women, in relation to the seven employment matters:

  • Recruitment and Selection;
  • Promotion, Transfer and Termination;
  • Training and Career Development;
  • Work Organisation;
  • Conditions of Service;
  • Arrangements for dealing with Sex Based Harassment; and
  • Arrangements for dealing with Pregnant, Potential Pregnant Employees and Employees who are Breastfeeding.
