Analyse your Workplace Profile

Step 1 - Complete a Workplace Profile

For a Customised Workplace Profile format for your industry Click here 

Step 2 - Fill in the employee numbers 

Fill in the percentages of men and women in each segment

Step 3 - Answer the following questions

  • Are there segments of your profile where the percentage
    of women shows significant difference from the percentage
    of women in your overall workforce? Highlight these segments
  • Do you have similar percentages of women and men in:
    • managerial roles
    • skilled roles
    • traditional “male” roles
  • Do you have similar percentages of women and men in
    • casual employment 
    • administration and clerical roles
  • Have these percentages improved since the last reporting year?
  • Do these percentages compare favourably with your industry? YES NO
  • Do all you have both men and women in all occupational categories?

If you answered NO to any of these questions, it may indicate issues for women 

Step 4 

  • Research the reasons for these differences. 
  • What is your workplace information (from surveys etc) telling you about employee concerns with this situation? 
  • What is the business impact of not addressing these issues?
  • What are the business benefits of addressing these issues?
