Sample Workplace: Metro-Coast Finance

Metro-Coast Finance advertised for a Senior Advance Clerk in mid-February. The advertisement stated a Commerce degree or equivalent was essential, and sought specific experience within the finance industry. Opportunities for career progression and further study were highlighted.

Having worked at Metro-Coast Finance for two years since graduating, Helena Doppolous applied for the position. Due to a cross-company customer service project she had coordinated, Helena was familiar with the Senior Advance Clerk role and had spent time working with staff in the relevant department.

Helena was notified that she’d been short-listed and that Peter French and Philip Woods would be interviewing. Martin Crossley, a second internal candidate had also been short-listed, as had external candidates Despina Dimtsis and Roger Townhill.
