The Bill reflecting changes to EOWA's underlying legislation, as
announced by the government in March 2011, has not yet been tabled in
Parliament. This is expected to occur in the Autumn sittings commencing
in February 2012. Until otherwise advised, reporting will be as usual
for 2012. To assist organisations, especially those lodging a report for the first time, EOWA is conducting Workshop 1 - Developing an EOWA program and Preparing a Compliant Report in a number of cities from January to March 2012. Workshop fee is $440. The dates will be as follows:

Information on Applying for a Waiver from Annual Compliance Reporting. Currently organisations that
have submitted an EOWA report for at least three consecutive years
and been assessed by EOWA as
compliant with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999
for each year, may apply for a waiver from annual compliance reporting
for a defined period. However, please be aware that the proposed reforms
to EOWA may include the removal of current waiving provisions.
