The results of the 2008 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership will be released on Tuesday, 28 October 2008.

The EOWA Census of Women in Leadership identifies the status of women in the most senior leadership positions for the top 200 organisations listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

In 2002, the inaugural Census highlighted the under representation of women in Australian leadership and the subsequent under-utilisation of the talents of the vast female workforce. In 2003 and 2004 there had been little change and by 2006 only glacial progress. By quantifying the deficiency, we hope to inspire business leaders to think differently when making decisions about the next executive appointment.
