| 2006 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership |
|
The results of the 2006 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership
were released on Thursday, 31 August 2006. The EOWA Census of Women in Leadership determines the status of women in the most senior leadership positions for the top 200 organisations listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. In 2002, the inaugural Census highlighted the under representation of women in Australian leadership and the subsequent under-utilisation of the talents of the vast female workforce. In 2003 and 2004 there has been little change. By quantifying the deficiency, we hope to inspire business leaders to think differently when making decisions about the next executive appointment.
