Home : Australian Women in Leadership Census

The 2008 EOWA Australian Census of Women in Leadership results will be released on Tuesday, 28 October 2008. This page will be updated shortly with further information.

The Australian Census of Women in Leadership measures the status of women on boards and women executive managers in Australia's top 200 organisations listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Applying the business principle of what gets measured, gets done, the Census is designed to establish accurate statistics to enable international benchmarking.

The Census uses methodology, developed by the prestigious and influential US based organisation, Catalyst, which has been adapted for Australia and approved by the Australian Commonwealth Statistical Clearing House.

Quote
"There's no doubt that the impact of having children and wanting to work flexibly limits women's choices in their career. My approach has been to...encourage everyone in the company, male or female, to stop squeezing life around their work - and instead to 'get a life' and squeeze work around their life."

...John McFarlane, CEO ANZ Bank, EOWA's Chief Executives Unplugged
