Women’s inequity in employment is the result of a broad range of historical, structural and social developments. Equity will only be achieved when focused attention is given to identify the specific components that contribute to women’s inequity in the workplace - and strategic solutions are devised to address the issues. Some of the issues that require our attention include:
If we are to ultimately achieve a workforce where Australian women can realise their full potential and be recognised fairly for their contribution, we need to keep these issues on the business agenda. |
